This presentation will focus on parents' rights when it comes to special education. Specific topics will include what to do if you suspect your child has a disability, what is the process for obtaining services, what if the school and parents disagree on services or placement, and what kinds of services are available through the school.

Bio: Holly Vietzke-Lynch, Esq. graduated from Boston University and Massachusetts School of Law, magna cum laude. She is a professor at the Massachusetts School of Law and a member of the North Andover School Committee. Holly also spent five years serving on the board of her town's SEPAC (an advisory council of parents of children with special needs) and has a deep understanding of the challenges both parents and schools face in special education. As the parent of a child with disabilities, Holly is passionate about ensuring that every child receives a meaningful education.
